No Such Thing

Three years since Los Angeles County took up the fight against child sex trafficking, much has changed for the girls, law enforcement and the survivors. "No Such Thing" picks up three years after "Manipulated" and shows the personal and inner growth of Jessica--a brave woman who endured nearly a decade of sexual exploitation.

Calling a teenager who is being exploited for sex a child prostitute reinforces the pimp's message of her worthlessness. The LA County Sheriff's Department has been working to reframe the problem and educate police officers and other county workers who come into contact with trafficked teenagers.
